The culinary journey of Chef Jason Thomas Ao began at a young age in Canada. Raised in a melting pot in the city of Toronto, Jason was influenced by all kinds of unique cultural food. Jason developed a passion for cooking and a love for eating. He studied at George Brown College’s culinary program, to further increase his knowledge of food. After graduating, he joined The Ritz-Carlton Toronto in Ontario, Canada.

In 2014, Jason had an opportunity to move to The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman as an assistant butcher. Over the course of years, hours upon hours of hard work, dedication and in pursuit of his dream, Jason has moved up the ranks and has been appointed the position of Garde Manger Chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.
