Markus Glocker is a dynamic, inventive Chef who personifies hospitality. Born in Austria, he embraced the discipline of cooking, and excelled in top kitchens internationally, learning from distinguished chefs such as Eckart Witzigmann, Charlie Trotter, and Gordon Ramsay. In 2014 Markus joined forces as Chef/Co-Owner with restaurateur Drew Nieporent to open Bâtard, which earned the James Beard Award of “Best New Restaurant in America” for 2015.

In Fall 2018, Markus expanded his responsibilities to oversee the kitchen at Augustine at the Beekman Hotel. At Bâtard and Augustine, Glocker’s years of award-winning Michelin Star cooking, crystalizes with a hearty, inventive cuisine that excites and satisfies his guests.
