Roman Kleinrath was born in a small town in Austria where he apprenticed as a chef/waiter. He decided to become a full time chef so he moved to Vienna, where he worked in some of the finest restaurants. Wanting to see the world, he moved to Grand Cayman where he worked at Ragazzi, (LUCA’S sister restaurant), for 6 years.

After 2 years in Australia, he returned to Cayman where he is now the head chef at LUCA. On his days off he is always out fishing, where whatever he catches ends up on the menu at LUCA the next day. As Head Chef at Luca, he now has the opportunity to showcase his innovative and inspired style of cooking.
